As a member of the UK Alternative Press Scene Zarina has been actively self-publishing and selling her sequential art pieces since 2008.

She was awarded 2nd place for her entry “The Sun and the Moon” for the 2009 Manga Jiman held by the Japanese Embassy. She continues to work on comic art pieces and currently has a weekly webcomic under the 4-Koma style, “Le Mime” which is published every Friday.

Her understanding of manga-style art has led her to host a variety of workshops and courses held by the UK Japanese Art Festival and cultural hub, Asia House.

Le Mime Webcomic

This is a weekly webcomic following the adventures of Le Mime who first appeared in Zarina’s small-press work in 2009. His popularity inspired her to share his quirks and talents online.

The sun and the moon was Zarina’s Manga Jiman 2009 entry which was awarded 2nd place by the Japanese Embassy.

It follows the story of the sun and the moon and looks into cyclical relationships over 6 pages.
